Summer course 2014

Looking for an adventure this upcoming summer? We are offering you a beginner´s course in Swedish, where you will practice the Swedish language mainly by dialogues and conversations. Language profiency lessons will be alternated with lessons about Swedish culture and traditions.

June 23 - July 4, 2014


The course week

The course day starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 3.30 p.m. except on Fridays when we end at 1.45 p.m. Several evening activities will be offered where attendance is voluntary. Lessons are taught in Swedish but English will be used for certain instructions. No previous knowledge of Swedish is needed. 


Our teachers are dedicated and skillful instructors with many years of experience of teaching Swedish. 

Course fee: 
6 400 SEK


The course fee includes:

  • 66 Swedish lessons, 45 minutes long
  • Lunch and "fika" (coffee and something sweet)
  • A visit to Astrid Lindgren childhood home
  • Entrance to the exhibition "The Whole World´s Astrid Lindgren"
  • Several excursions to the Swedish countryside, among them a visit to see the king of the Swedish forrest, the moose
  • Visits to the places described in Astrid Lindgren´s novels "The Children in the Noisy Village" and "Emil in Lönneberga"
  • A certificate of attendance and accomplished course

Registration

Registration is sent via e-mail: info@houseoflanguage.se. Your confirmation letter will include instructions for payment of our registration fee (800 SEK), which is non-refundable. The letter will also include more information about the course.

The course fee is to be paid seven weeks prior to the start of the course, no later than May 2,  2014.

Study in southern Sweden and visit the places described in Astrid Lindgren´s novels.
